idea #3 : to improve instant results in trix

Explanation of the concept :

I believe, we all (skiers, team captains, coaches, judges, organizers) agree that we have to improve instant result in tricks. It is necessary for the sport not to have anymore scrores changed 30 minutes after the end of the tricks final of a world or E&A champ. For medias and spectators, this is not understandable. In parrallel, Judges have to improve and that's what the TC is trinyg to do during the past X years with E&A judges and the exam difficulty in tricks.

The idea is simple : we just have to consider the results announced by the jury during the tricks round as the "official provisional result" mentionned in the rules. It means that as soon as this result is set and announced, the time for reviewing tricks sheets start. This delay, should be shortened to 15 minutes.

It also means that all scores published become instantely officials (like in slalom or jump) and the "Score Sheet Availability period" time starts.(rule 6.04)

I proposed this idea during the last judge seminar in Milano and here is a little more detailled explanation.

Some changes need to be done in the rules to achieve the goal of having official score quicker.

1 . RETIMING ISSUE (IWWF 15.13)
The retiming possibility (last paragraphs of IWWF 15.13) should be removed.
Two judges really have to operate the timing. We know how it is in practice in many tournaments, the timing judge is often alone. THAT SHOULD NEVER HAPPEN. If you have always two good judges behind the timer, there is no mistake of timing possible. The homologator or the chief judge should check the timer system before each series.

2 . TRICKS SCORING SHEETS REVIEW ISSUE (IWWF 6.04)
In rule 6.04, all periods definition should be shortened to 15 minutes after results are posted and once a correction is made.

3 . PREVENTING CALCULATION ERRORS
To prevent calculation mistake, we should change a bit the scoring procedure. Instead of having scrorer and assistant scorer working together, on the same dutty, the chief scorer should score alone and then give the printed master sheet and five judges sheets to his assistant to check for majority issues (2/3 not given) or calculation error (wring tricks code for instance).

4 . PUBLISHING MASTER SHEETS
We have to find an easy way (and cheap) to display the master sheet directly after the skiers run. On the starting dock and close to the jury tower for team captains and skiers to check the skiers score and master sheet. When internet connection in available it easy to publish it with Manu's software directly (on live results screen with a link to mastersheet on results list for instance).

5. WAITING FOR RESULT ON THE DOCK
We tried two years ago in E&A champ in Recetto the idea of having the skier's score before the next skier goes on water. It worked with a little delay between skiers and was a very good target in my point of view. We should try to use this ideas by using the dock like the "Kiss and Cry" zone in iceskating. That means the boat is taking back the skiers at the dock event if he falls and the skiers and his coach is waiting his results on the dock before the next skier starts.

I think this idea is already used in WorldCup tournaments.

One more time, the goal is only to go closer to instant results in trix like we have in slalom and jump.
